Web Quests
WebQuests have been around since the 1990's but for teachers who are new to developing web-based enhancements to the curriculum, they are still useful. Remember that well-designed webquests give students the opportunity to research a topic in a way that exposes them to real world applications. In addition, the product should require the students to use higher level thinking skills - not just rehash the information from websites into an essay or PowerPoint. Make sure your students take what they've learned from a webquest and design, evaluate, and synthesize!

Worksheet and Activity Creators
Personal Eductional Press is a utility that runs right off any browser to create word lists, puzzles, quizzes, and other worksheet type activities for students. It creates pretty "low level" worksheets, but it might be useful for skills practice or differentiated instruction.
DiscoverySchool Puzzlemaker is a tool to create your own crossword and word search puzzles. The tool is free, but you have to finish and print your puzzles in one sitting This is a great tool for students to use as well. I've seen many students create puzzles to help them with class presentations and differentiated learning activities. Also visit DiscoverySchool Worksheets To Go.
